SERVICE 03

Purpose-built parts
for real-world use.

Custom components for repairs, product improvements and specialised applications. From a broken or unavailable part to a new bracket, housing, jig or assembly, we develop the solution around the job it must perform.

Complete project support

Built around the application.
Not just the printer.

PRIMUS 3D combines design thinking, material selection, additive manufacturing and finishing. The result is a considered part or product made for its intended purpose—not an unfinished print that still needs to be resolved.

01

Understand the application

We begin with the part's purpose, fitment, loads, temperature, exposure and failure mode. This helps determine whether additive manufacturing is appropriate and what needs to change in the replacement or new design.

  • Operating-condition review
  • Fitment and interface checks
  • Risk and requirement identification
02

Design or recreate

Where practical, an existing part can be measured and recreated, or a new component can be designed around the surrounding assembly. Geometry may be strengthened or adapted instead of simply copying the original weakness.

  • Reverse engineering from a sample
  • Custom CAD development
  • Design improvement and consolidation
03

Manufacture for purpose

Material, orientation, tolerances and finish are selected around the actual use of the part. Hardware, inserts, assembly and testing can be included to provide a complete component rather than a loose print.

  • Functional engineering materials
  • Threaded inserts and hardware
  • Assembly and short-run production

Typical applications

Practical possibilities.
Purpose-led results.

Every project is assessed individually. Geometry, finish, operating environment, quantity and material requirements guide the manufacturing route.

Frequently asked

Before we
begin.

Can you copy a broken or discontinued part?+

Often, yes. We assess the sample, dimensions, fitment and operating requirements before confirming whether it can be recreated and whether the design or material should be improved.

What information is needed for a replacement part?+

Provide the original part where possible, together with photographs of the installation, the equipment it belongs to, critical dimensions, the failure point and details about heat, loads, chemicals or outdoor exposure.

Are 3D-printed parts strong enough for practical use?+

They can be when the design, material and manufacturing settings are suited to the application. Strength is assessed project by project rather than assumed from the printing process alone.

Can you manufacture more than one part?+

Yes. Once the design is validated, repeat parts or short production runs can be manufactured with controlled settings and consistent project records.

Start with what you have

A sketch, sample or idea
is enough to begin.

Send us your requirements, measurements, reference photos, drawings or 3D files. We will help define the most practical route forward.
