SERVICE 05

Designed around
the actual vehicle.

Custom and replacement automotive components developed around fitment, finish and daily use—from unavailable clips and trim to switch panels, bezels, mounts and personalised interior features.

Complete project support

Built around the application.
Not just the printer.

PRIMUS 3D combines design thinking, material selection, additive manufacturing and finishing. The result is a considered part or product made for its intended purpose—not an unfinished print that still needs to be resolved.

01

Assess the fitment

We review the installation area, mating features, clearances, fasteners and the original part where available. Measurements and vehicle access may be required for components that depend on an exact fit.

  • Original-part assessment
  • Vehicle measurement
  • Mounting and clearance review
02

Design for the environment

Automotive interiors and exterior-adjacent areas can involve heat, UV exposure, vibration and repeated handling. Geometry and material are selected around the actual location rather than appearance alone.

  • Heat and UV consideration
  • Vibration and fastening
  • Finish and colour planning
03

Prototype and complete

A test part can be produced to verify fit before the final component is manufactured. Finishing, hardware, assembly and colour-matching preparation can be included where the project requires it.

  • Fitment prototype
  • Controlled revision
  • Finished component delivery

Typical applications

Frequently asked

Before we
begin.

Can you copy a broken automotive part?+

Often, yes, if enough of the original geometry remains or the surrounding fitment can be measured. We assess the sample and installation before confirming feasibility.

Will a 3D-printed car part cope with heat?+

That depends on the location, temperature and material. Heat exposure is reviewed before material selection, and we will not recommend a material that is clearly unsuitable for the intended environment.

Do you make safety-critical vehicle parts?+

Every request is assessed individually. Parts involving braking, steering, restraints or other safety-critical systems may be declined or redirected to an appropriate certified manufacturing route.

Do you need the vehicle for fitting?+

Some projects can be completed from a good sample and accurate measurements. Vehicle access is useful when multiple surfaces, hidden clips or exact clearances determine the fit.

Start with what you have

A sketch, sample or idea
is enough to begin.

Send us your requirements, measurements, reference photos, drawings or 3D files. We will help define the most practical route forward.
